Shipping & Returns
All Domestic and International orders are shipped via the US Postal Service or FedEx®. Most shipments leave our facility within 1 business day for items that show "in stock" on the product page. However, some items require a longer processing time of 5-7 business days or up to 2 weeks for special order items. In each case, the shipping time is listed on the product page.
We reserve the right to cancel any order at any time for any reason as well as change carriers based on product availability or customer location. Please note that certain exclusions apply: heavy, large items and multiple boxes may require additional shipping cost. Orders with mixed availability and shipping times will be processed in their entirety once all items are available.
Domestic Shipping Cost:
- Standard Domestic Shipping (3-7 Business Days) on orders $25 or more ship FREE!
- Standard Domestic Shipping (3-7 Business Days) on orders less than $25 ship for $3.99
- Expedited Domestic (2 Business Days) on all orders is $9.99
- Overnight Domestic Shipping (1 Business day) on all items is $19.99
International Shipping Cost:
- Standard Canada shipping (7-10 Business Days) for $19.99
- Standard International (7-10 Business Days) for $29.99
- Expedited (5-7 Business Days) for $39.99
Orders placed before 1 PM EST with Overnight and Expedited Shipping will be processed the same business day if all items show “In Stock” when ordering. Expedited shipments placed after 1 PM EST will be processed the following business day.
International Shipping Information:
Some countries charge high duties or other fees on merchandise arriving from the United States. Duty and customs fees are not included in your order total. You are responsible for paying your country's imposed import charges when your package arrives. PLEASE NOTE: If you choose to refuse the package because you do not want to pay the applicable duties and fees, upon return receipt of the package we will process a refund for the amount paid for the items less the shipping and additional fees to return the package to us.
Please double-check your shipping address on the order form before submitting your order. Shipping labels are generated directly from the shipping information you have entered into the checkout order form. If shipping to a business, please make sure to specify the company name as part of the address.
A forwarding fee is issued for shipments that are either re-routed after leaving our warehouse or are incorrectly addressed due to customer error. If a forwarding fee does occur, we will email you notification of the fee, reason for the charge, and the date of the charge. Likewise, if your address is incorrect and we ship your package via USPS, it may simply be returned to us.
Surf Outfitter’s warehouse is closed and orders will not ship on the following Holidays:
- Memorial Day: Monday, May 29th 2017
- Independence Day: Tuesday, July 4th 2017
- Labor Day: Monday, September 4th 2017
- Thanksgiving Day: Thursday, November 23th 2017
- Christmas Holiday: Monday, December 25th 2017
- New Years: Monday, January 1st 2018
Returns and Exchanges
We want you to be 100% satisfied with the product(s) you purchased from Surf Outfitter. We offer a convenient 60-day return policy for purchases made online and in our retail store. For domestic online purchases, return shipping is FREE!
Please follow these steps to complete a return or exchange:
- Contact Customer Service by email at email@example.com or by phone at 844-410-0176
- Provide your order number and the item(s) you wish to return or exchange.
- A customer service representative will provide you with a Return Authorization Number (RMA) and return instructions. For domestic orders, you will also be provided with a return shipping label free of charge.
- If you wish to exchange for a different item, identify this item to the customer service rep (product name, style, color, size, etc.). If you are returning an item for exchange, your exchange will ship out after we process the return.
- We process all eligible returns and issue refunds when eligible within on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Return Policy Terms and Conditions:
All returns and exchanges must be received by our returns department within 60 days of the date of purchase. To accommodate holiday shopping, items purchased between November 1st and November 30th may be returned until January 31st for a full refund (or exchange), subject to our other return guidelines. Refunds will be made in the original form of payment. We do not provide refunds on shipping charges. Returns received outside of the allowed return window will not be accepted and returned to sender.
All returns and exchanges must be sent with a Return Authorization Number (RMA). Our customer service team will provide you with an RMA - all items returned without an RMA will not be processed. For domestic orders, you will also be provided with a return shipping label FREE of charge. If you choose not to use the free return shipping label but rather coordinate your own shipping, please be aware that return shipping must be pre-paid - we are unable to accept C.O.D.
Do not place the return shipping label or any other labels on the product packaging. Place the item(s) in a box, poly mailer, or bubble envelope, and then place all labels on the shipping package. You will often be able to use the packaging originally used to ship the item to you. Please note that we retain the right to incur a re-stocking fee if the product or product’s packaging is damaged due to the fault of the customer.
You may return or exchange the following items under the following conditions
- Apparel: Must be in new condition, unworn, unwashed and have all original manufacturer tags attached to the item. Swimwear must have hygiene liners intact.
- Electronics: All manufacturer packaging must be intact.
- Inflatable Paddleboards: Must be un-used and with the original manufacturer packaging.
All sales are FINAL and cannot be returned for the following items:
- Surfboards, Skimboards, and Non-Inflatable Paddleboards: You must contact Customer Service within 3 days of receipt if damaged upon arrival.
- Sale and Clearance items
- Personal items – lotions, lip balm, hair care products, etc.
If you are not eligible for a refund, we may be able to offer store credit on a case by case basis. However, please be aware that certain fees, such as a restocking fee, may apply. If you have further questions or concerns, please contact our customer service team during our normal operating hours of Monday through Friday 10am to 6pm EST.
